Balinese Hindus participate in water blessings regularly (Melukat), a spiritual cleansing ritual aimed to achieve self purification of both the body and soul. Although it is a sacred place of worship to the locals, tourists from all over the world are welcome to experience the beauty and participate in the purification rituals.

Located next to Tirta Empul, Mengening offers you a water purification with 10 waterspout in one clear pool. The water in Mengening Temple is very fresh and clear, in accordance with the meaning of  ‘mengening’ itself which means clear. Before entering the water purification holy water, you will go down the stairs and use ‘kamen’ then you will be allowed to enter the area. The water is never cloudy and runs out, many do not believe that all diseases can be lost if doing water purification in Mengening Temple, but Balinese people believes.This is perfect for you if you want a place that can refresh and clear your mind.

There are several places with natural Holy Water Springs that are available for the purification ritual depending on your needs; this may be held on the beach, at a Holy Water Spring, within a temple or at our High Priest’s house & temple complex for a special ritual.

• Rates above are net in US$ inclusive of government tax and service charge
• Rates quoted above is per journey, with max 5 people in group (for a bigger group please contact us)
• Rates inclusive of Ritual Equipments, Offerings, Transportation, Entrance tickets, Master, Sarong & Scarf
• Reservations are required at least 24 hours prior to activities to ensure availability
• Please arrive 20 min prior to your booking. This allows proper time to complete a short health form and guarantee the full treatment experience
• For purification you are required to wear your own swimwear and for others activities you may wear a comfortable outfit, while we provide you sarong/kamen from our company.
• To maintain a peaceful atmosphere integrated with nature please do not smoke and free alcohol. In addition we kindly ask that you refrain from speaking loudly and please turn off your mobile phone while joining the activities
• Transportation to and from your hotel – pick up and drop off are subject to availability with additional cost.
